LEAP acts as a centre for a wide range of community activities. The aim is to enable people from all South African communities, as well as other countries, to meet and actively engage with one another.

The stated intention of LEAP Science and Maths School is to make a significant positive change within the communities served by LEAP. Our school communities therefore place a high priority on teaching our children to understand their potential as agents of change within their own communities. In order to achieve this goal, every member of the school community is committed to participate actively within a social responsibility framework and this means getting involved and supporting organisations working within the communities.

The schools work closely with existing projects in order to actively serve our partner township communities. Through our involvement we set out to enable our learners and staff to make small but significant contributions that will support existing efforts on the ground by care-givers and community workers within ongoing, sustainable strategic endeavours.
